Good to know.
If everything stings lately, your barrier is probably worn down.
Your barrier is the top layer of skin that holds water in and keeps irritation out. Hot showers, harsh soaps, too much exfoliating, winter air and plain stress all wear it down. When it is struggling, skin feels tight, looks red, flakes in patches and reacts to products that used to be fine.
What helps is boring, and it works. Do less for a couple of weeks. Put the scrubs and the strong actives away, cleanse gently, and keep something protective on top while your skin rebuilds.
Barrier Balm is that protective layer. No added fragrance, made for skin that has had enough.
